My Purpose

I started the Ohio Independent Provider Network
in 2005 in order to help other Independent
Provider nurses maintain their independence in
Ohio; to let them know, being "independent"
doesn't mean having no support.
By providing consultations to both new and
long-time providers, we maintain a complete
network of Ohio Independent Provider Nurses.
We encourage working together to discuss and
resolve critical issues facing home care providers.
Over the years, the website has spread by word of
mouth to consumers enrolled in the Ohio Home
Care Waiver Program. After receiving e-mails
from consumers, expressing their frustrations and
inability to locate an available Independent
Provider nurse in their region, it was decided the
website would also accommodate consumers by
listing available Independent Provider nurses in
efforts to meet the consumers needs. Hopefully,
this will help to lessen the burden on consumers
having to make endless phone calls to
Independent Provider nurses in their area, to find
nursing services.
